Okay, so I am new to the “Blog Every Day in May” sensation started by Jenni at Story of My Life. I am trying to be more consistent with writing posts, but sometimes I’m lucky if I get in one post a week. That being said, I am going to try this challenge and hope for the best.
Luckily, there are topics and prompts for each day so that should help me out a great deal. I tend to be somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to writing (which is ironic because I’m certainly not a perfectionist in any other area of my life – you should see my office). I always feel that my posts need to be Pulitzer prize-winning material every single time. You know what, they don’t. Here goes …
Today’s topic: A Piece of Advice for Someone Else
My advice for the day is “Be Nice.” Yep, that’s it. No guides to world peace or ending pollution coming from me. I keep it short and simple. I did capitalize to get the point across. That always helps.
Seriously though, it’s a concept right out of preschool. We all just need to be nice to each other. And if we can’t be nice (you know what’s coming, right?), then Be Quiet. I think a lot of problems could be avoided by following those two simple rules.
Well, that was it for my first stab at this. See, I told you I like to keep it short and sweet. Be nice or be quiet. Simple. Also, wear your seatbelt and look both ways before crossing the street. Don’t worry about wearing clean underwear. If you’re in an accident, nobody is going to care about your underwear. Least of all, you. Just make sure you are, in fact, wearing underwear.
Have a nice day. 🙂
