In an effort to inspire more families to go boating and fishing, Carlos Correa (Houston Astros shortstop and reigning AL Rookie of the Year) has partnered with the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation’s (RBFF) Vamos A Pescar campaign. “Vamos A Pescar” is the Spanish version of RBFF’s “Take Me Fishing” site.
The Vamos A Pescar campaign runs from now until September 5, 2016. Social media users are encouraged to share their fishing and boating photos and videos on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #VamosAPescarSweeps for a chance to win daily and weekly prizes as well as a grand prize of a vacation for four to Walt Disney World Resort.
“Growing up near the ocean, some of my favorite experiences have been on the water fishing with family and friends. Capturing those special moments on camera lets us relive them again and again,” said Correa. “Part of the joy of fishing is creating lifelong memories of your own. We’re excited to share in your special fishing and boating moments through the Vamos A Pescar sweepstakes.”
All Twitter and Instagram users who post photos and videos that meet the official entry requirements, and use #VamosAPescarSweeps, will be entered for a chance to win great prizes from RBFF.

“We’re committed to spreading the joy of fishing and boating to people of all ages and cultures, and we hope families will find a new passion after getting out on the water,” said Frank Peterson, president and CEO for the RBFF. “We look forward to seeing all of the fun everyone is having fishing and boating this summer.”

The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation
The RBFF, a non-profit organization, was created with the mission of increasing participation in recreational fishing and boating, which in turn helps to protect and restore the nation’s aquatic natural resources. RBFF developed the Take Me Fishing and Vamos A Pescar campaigns to create additional awareness about boating, fishing and conservation and to educate people about the benefits of participation.
Both campaigns help boaters and anglers of all ages and experience levels learn, plan and get ready for a day on the water. The campaign websites, TakeMeFishing.org and VamosAPescar.org, feature how-to videos, information on how to get a fishing license and boat registration and an interactive state-by-state map with boating and fishing spots.
