At the stroke of 6:00 on Friday the 13th Busch Gardens Williamsburg will lift the veil on its charming European villages to reveal the dark side of the gardens in what looks to be the scariest Howl-O-Scream yet. New for 2013 is the introduction of Terror-tories and an all-new haunted house.

Here’s a brief teaser of some of the new and returning attractions and experiences for Howl-O-Scream 2013. I’ll be posting more detailed information soon. Please come back to visit.

New for 2013

Terror-tories

Spirits, fiends and devilish ghouls walk among the living in this whole new and immersive aspect of Howl-O-Scream. France, Germany, Italy and England will be transformed into over-the-top themed experiences that will transport guests to the darkest sides of their respective pasts. Terror-tories is similar to the roaming hordes of last year’s Howl-O-Scream, but themed to each individual country in the park.

Chart a course through the haunted waters in Italy, flee the flames of burning France, avoid the vampire’s bite in Germany and hunt for (or be hunted by) Jack the Ripper in London’s East End. Guests are the main characters whose fates are dependent upon the creatures roaming through the dark side of the gardens. You can Beware or become the latest victim.

Cut Throat Cove

The newest, pirate-themed haunted house, is Cut Throat Cove. Watch out for mutiny and bone-chilling surprises at every twist and turn.

Sinister Snackage and Spine-Tingling Shows

Demon Drinks, Open CASKet and the Inoculation Station offer frightfully good drinks while Blood Banquet, Fright Feast and Buccaneer Galley give guests an immersive dining experience. Night Beats, Dig it Up! and Fiends return for frightfully fun music and dance performances.

For even more about all of the haunted houses, scare zones and dining at Busch Gardens’ Howl-O-Scream 2013, please visit Examiner.com.

To parents of young children: Busch Gardens becomes a seriously scary place during Howl-O-Scream. It is recommended for older teenagers and up. Please consider your child’s scare tolerance when bringing young children to Howl-O-Scream. The park does offer lots of fun for kids during the daylight hours. Heed the warnings and the tick-tock of the clock as it nears 6:00 p.m.
