Margaritaville Parrot Head sun care offers six lines of sun care products:  lotions, sprays, ultra-light face, Parakeet Kids (specially formulated for kid’s delicate skin), oil and enhancers and after sun products, which include cooling aloe and sunburn relief gels.

Being the Parrot Head, beach bum and sunscreen supporter that I am, I had to give Jimmy’s new sunscreen line a try. The “Fins Up” Sport spray with broad spectrum SPF 50 was my first Parrot Head sunscreen purchase. I often forget to reapply so I need something that will last through salt water, sand or chlorine. I also don’t like getting my hands all greasy so a spray version is always my first choice.

The Parrot Head Sport spray went on dry and non-greasy. It was very light and did not leave a thick, sticky build-up like some sunscreens. Sweat, swim and humidity resistant, it is also fragrance-free. I was out on the beach for quite a while without reapplying, and did not get a sunburn, so I consider it a win. While I do like the coconuty smell of some sunscreens, the fragrance-fee aspect really appealed to me. Some spray versions just smell way to “aerosol-like” to me.

All Parrot Head sun care products are formulated with antioxidants, botanicals and tropical oils to moisturize and protect skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays.  Parrot Head sunscreen is the only sun care product with Aloe Hydrating Complex, which contains the highest quality aloe vera plant solids available in a ten times concentrated form. It also has the really unique WetSkin tech, which delivers water resistance and staying power for long lasting sun protection (great for those of us that have a tendency to forget to reapply).

With a price range of $8.99 to $13.99, Parrot Head products are available online and at select retail stores in the U.S. and the Caribbean, as well as at all Margaritaville locations. I have seen it at Kmart in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina and, of course, at Margaritaville retail stores.
